Hi, we’re Vicky and Dean!
Our journey together began sixteen years ago in Hull, where we built a life centered around travel, our first home, and our two constants, Cali and Spyro. While our careers took us in different directions, Vicky into the world of Veterinary Nursing and Dean into Human Resources, we always shared a quiet ambition to create something meaningful together. We both grew up with a pet or several, and we understood how they become part of the family, a part of the household.
We moved back to Vicky’s hometown of Malmesbury, to be closer to her family, and to start Toff Tails, a community focused pet lifestyle boutique offering thoughtfully curated products to the pets and people of Malmesbury.
We’re currently busy prepping the shop for our late May launch. When we do take a break, you’ll find us exploring the countryside with our dog, Spyro, or catching up with friends at one of Malmesbury's great local pubs. Failing that, we’re at home trying to reclaim our spot on the sofa from Cali. Or feeding him for the 16th time that day.

Cali
Cali (Captain Calico Jack Rackham) | Head of Feline Quality Control
Specialism: Sun-lounging & Strategic Napping
Cali joined us as a rescue eight years ago. Originally described as a "big, loving, chilled-out boy," he has spent nearly a decade perfecting that role. While his pirate-inspired name suggests a life of adventure, Cali prefers a much more refined pace.
As our ambassador for all things feline, he ensures our collection meets his high standards and he will provide honest feedback, particularly on any edible products.
Spyro
Spyro | Chief Product Tester & Heart of the Home
Specialism: High-Energy Testing & Fluff Maintenance
Spyro joined our family as a puppy and quickly proved that while he may be small, he is mighty in spirit. A Japanese Spitz with a heart of gold, he is at his happiest when leaning into his spirited nature—whether he’s exploring the Malmesbury countryside or enjoying a high-speed game of chase with Cali.
From testing the durability of our collection to ensuring our treats are truly "reward-worthy," Spyro puts every item through its paces. He is the active heart of our family, proving every day that caring well and enjoying life to the fullest belong together.
